Loctite 565 PST Thread Sealant

The Loctite 565 PST Thread Sealant is a white to off-white, one-part pipe thread sealant paste containing PTFE lubricant, for locking and sealing tapered metal pipe threads and fittings. It seals instantly for low-pressure air testing, resists most industrial fluids and withstands continuous temperatures up to 150°C, with cured joints tested to 207 bar. Its low strength means fittings can still be undone with hand tools. This is the 50 ml tube.

Run a full 360° bead around the leading male threads, leaving the first thread bare, and push it into the thread roots before tightening; on inactive metals or when cure is slow, use an activator such as SF 7649. It is not recommended for plastics, especially thermoplastics, or for pure-oxygen and strong-oxidiser service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
