Loctite 50ml 635 Retaining Compound

The Loctite 635 High Strength Retaining Compound is a green, one-part, medium-viscosity anaerobic retainer for bonding close-fitting cylindrical parts. It cures between metal surfaces to stop loosening and leakage from shock and vibration, fixtures in about 6 minutes and fills diametrical clearances up to 0.15 mm. It fluoresces under UV for bond-line checks and is tested to MIL-R-46082B. Available in 50 ml and 250 ml.

Once the parts are clean and dry, apply it to suit the fit — around the pin's leading edge and inside the collar with a rotating motion for slip fits, both surfaces for press fits, or the pin with a heated collar for shrink fits — and use local heat to about 250°C to disassemble. It is not normally recommended for plastics, particularly thermoplastics, or for oxygen-rich systems and strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
