Loctite SF 7649 Acrylic Primer

The Loctite SF 7649 Activator (formerly 7649) is an acetone-based activator that speeds up the cure of Loctite anaerobic threadlockers, thread sealants, retaining compounds and gasket sealants. It is the one to reach for on passive metals such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated parts, on larger bond gaps, and when working below 15°C. It dries in 30 to 70 seconds at 20°C and stays active on the part for up to 30 days. This is the 133 ml aerosol.

Spray or brush it onto one or both mating faces, with two coats on porous surfaces, let it dry completely with good ventilation, then apply the anaerobic product and assemble. Never mix it with the adhesive as liquids, check compatibility on plastics and coatings, and keep it away from ignition sources as it is highly flammable. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
