The Loctite Metric O-Ring Splicing Kit lets you build replacement O-rings on the spot from nitrile rubber cord in five metric diameters. It saves holding stock of every O-ring size and gets equipment running again when the right ring is not on the shelf. Joints made with the Loctite 406 instant adhesive resist water and oil and are as strong as the rubber itself. This is the metric kit.
Cut the cord to length with both ends square, put a small amount of adhesive on one end and hold the ends firmly in the jig, and the splice is ready in seconds. Use the finished rings on static seals only, and not in oxygen, chlorine or strong oxidiser service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
