Mack Tradesman Lace-Up Safety Boots, Black, UK/AU 4 (MK0TRADESBBF040)
Available
The Mack Tradesman is a six inch lace-up steel toe safety boot. Mack says the lace-up design gives extra ankle stability and suits apprentices and part-time workers (manufacturer-stated). The upper is pebble leather with heavy duty metal eyelets, a soft structured ankle collar and a wide anatomical toe cap shaped to reduce rubbing.
The TPU outsole is listed as hard wearing, slip resistant, heat resistant to 150 degrees C and resistant to fuel oil, and Mack says it resists hydrolysis, microbial attack, oils, acids and organic fats better than dual density PU soles (manufacturer-stated). The boot is also listed as anti-static and with a water resistant upper.
The manufacturer lists these approved standards: AS/NZS 2210.3 (Class I S1 SRC); EN ISO 20345 (S1 SRC); ASTM F2413-11 (M/I/75/C/75/SD) (manufacturer-stated). Check the marking inside the boot, and ask AIMS for the certificate if your site needs proof. Safety footwear does not replace a risk assessment, so choose the boot for the hazards on your site, and replace boots with a damaged toe cap, a worn sole or a split upper.
Height is 154 mm. The data sheet lists a weight of 1.59 kg at size 10 UK/AUS and does not say whether this is a pair (manufacturer-stated). Sizes run from UK/AUS 4 to 16 (US 5 to 17) in black.
