A hasp is a two-part metal fastener used to secure doors, gates, cabinets and covers. One half (the hinged strap) bolts to the moving panel; the other half (the staple) bolts to the frame, with a slot that the padlock shackle passes through to lock the assembly. This Master Lock unit is a steel hinge hasp and staple designed for through-bolt mounting, paired with a padlock sold separately.
