M4 Wing Nut, 316 Stainless Steel - WNUA4M4
Available
The Metric Wing Nut, 316 Stainless Steel is a nut with two flat wings that allow it to be tightened and loosened by hand, with no tool.
Supplied in 316 (A4) stainless steel. The molybdenum in A4 gives better resistance to chlorides than A2 (304), so it is the usual choice near the coast, around pools and in marine and food-processing environments. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
The range runs to 8 variants, covering sizes M3 to M16. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 25 to 100.
In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option
Hand tightening gives only a light clamping force, so a wing nut is not suited to joints that carry high loads or vibrate. Use anti-seize on the thread. For indoor and general outdoor use where chlorides are not a concern, the A2 (304) version is the lower-cost option: Metric Wing Nut - 304 Stainless Steel.
