The NACHI 6004-ZZE is a single row deep groove ball bearing with two metal shields (ZZE). It measures 20 x 42 x 12 mm (bore x outer diameter x width) and carries a basic dynamic load rating of 9,400 N and a basic static load rating of 5,000 N.
Deep groove bearings are the most widely used ball bearing type: they carry radial, axial and combined loads and run at high speed with high running accuracy. This one has a radial internal clearance of Normal (CN).

Selecting the right option
Shielded bearings (ZE one side, ZZE both sides) arrive grease-filled with a labyrinth clearance, so they keep friction low and speed capability high while adding dust protection. Shields are not suited to water. For standard filled grease the recommended temperature range is -25 to 120 °C.
Fitting and use
Check the load and speed against the catalogue figures in the table before ordering, and apply a suitable safety factor. These bearings must always carry a minimum radial load so the balls roll rather than slide, and heavy axial loads should be checked with AIMS before ordering.
Press the ring that is being fitted, not the other ring or the balls: force goes through the side face of the inner ring on a shaft and the outer ring in a housing.
Shielded bearings are built for inner ring rotation, so they are not suited to high speed outer ring rotation. Do not wash or heat shielded bearings before mounting.
