Mitutoyo 103-177 Inch Outside Micrometer 0-1"

The Mitutoyo Series 103 inch outside micrometer measures the outside diameter or thickness of a part to 0.001". It suits toolrooms, quality control, machinists and fitters who work from inch drawings. It has carbide-tipped measuring faces and a ratchet stop, which gives the same measuring force each time. It comes in six sizes, from 0 to 1" up to 5 to 6".

Graduation is the smallest step you can read on the scale. Accuracy is a separate figure. It is the maximum permissible error, which is the most the reading is allowed to be out. On these six sizes the maximum permissible error is ±0.0001" up to 3" and ±0.00015" from 3 to 6". Pick the size whose range covers your part. If you need to read finer than 0.001", separate 0.0001" models under other part numbers.
