Mitutoyo 103-137 Outside Micrometer 0-25mm

The Mitutoyo Series 103 is a simple, classic analog outside micrometer for measuring the outside diameter or thickness of a part to 0.01mm. It suits toolrooms, quality control, machinists, fitters and apprentices. It has carbide-tipped measuring faces and a ratchet stop, which gives the same measuring force each time you tighten it. It comes in twelve sizes, from 0 to 25mm up to 275 to 300mm.

Graduation is the smallest step you can read on the scale. Accuracy is a separate figure. It is the maximum permissible error, which is the most the reading is allowed to be out. On Series 103 the maximum permissible error is ±2µm on the first three sizes (up to 75mm) and steps up to ±5µm on the largest three (225 to 300mm). Pick the smallest size that covers your part. Smaller sizes have the tighter error figure.
