Mitutoyo 104-136A Micrometer, 150 - 300mm Anvils

Mitutoyo Series 104 metric outside micrometers cover a wide span with one frame. You swap the anvil to move the measuring range, and use the supplied setting standards to set zero. Toolrooms, quality control teams and machine shops use them on shafts, tubing and larger fabrications. They are analog, with a graduation of 0.01mm on the scale.

An anvil is the fixed measuring face, and a setting standard is a precisely sized bar used to check zero. Graduation is the smallest step marked on the scale. Accuracy is a separate figure: it is the biggest error Mitutoyo allows, so do not read a fine graduation as a promise of that accuracy. The series accuracy is ±(4+R/75)µm, where R is the maximum range in mm. Pick the range that fits your parts: 0 - 100mm and 0 - 150mm for everyday work, and 100 - 600mm for larger parts.
