Pferd STEEL EDGE mounted points, A 12

These Pferd STEEL EDGE mounted points are bonded abrasive grinding points on a 6mm shank (shape: series A shapes A 12, A 15 and A 25). The range has 3 options in grits 30 and 60.

The STEEL EDGE type is particularly suitable for edge grinding and deburring, for grinding chamfers for weld seam preparation and for weld dressing on contours. The series A shapes are suited to a wide range of different contours. It has a vitrified bond and a recommended cutting speed of 25 to 40 m/s for this type.

Choosing the right option

Match the shank to your collet (6mm shank). A higher grit number is a finer abrasive. All Pferd mounted points are approved for a maximum operating speed of 50 m/s, the maximum permitted rotational speeds for each shank length and shank diameter are defined in DIN 69170 based on EN 12413 to avoid buckling of the shank, and at least 10mm of the shank must be clamped. Wear eye protection, hearing protection, a dust mask and gloves.
