Selecting the right option

Choose the set by shank diameter: set 2002 has a 3 mm shank and set 2001 has a 6 mm shank. The set pages do not print speeds, so use the ratings that apply to the individual shapes. The catalogue states that all PFERD TOOLS mounted points are approved for a maximum operating speed of 50 m/s, that the maximum permitted rotational speeds for each shank length and shank diameter are defined in DIN 69170 based on EN 12413 to avoid buckling of the shank, and that at least 10 mm of the shank must be clamped.
