Pferd Polinox PNR Type Grinding Wheel - Unmounted
- POLINOX Wheel Aluminium Oxide - Surface Conditioning
- The non-woven abrasive is arranged in multiple axial layers. Since the individual layers are not interconnected, the abrasive surface adapts easily to different workpiece contours (e.g. in work on profiles or pipes).
- Abrasive: A = Aluminium oxide
- POLINOX mounted and unmounted grinding wheels are made out of non-woven nylon in which abrasive grit is embedded. The flexible open-cell structure of the non-woven material makes the tools very elastic and ensures cool grinding.
Advantages
- Cool grinding and low thermal load on the workpiece
- No clogging of the tool
Safety notes
- The maximum permitted peripheral speed is 32 m/s
- For safety reasons, it is imperative to remain within the stated maximum permitted rotational speed at all times
Materials that can be worked
- Aluminium
- Cobalt-based alloys
- Other non-ferrous metals
- High-temperature-resistant materials
- Nickel-based alloys (e. g. Inconell and Hasteloy)
- Bronze
- Hard non-ferrous metal
- Titanium
- Titanium alloys
- Copper
- Soft non-ferrous metal
- Brass
- Zinc
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Thermoplastics
- Fibre-reinforced duroplastics (GRP, CRP)
- Hardened, heat-treated steels over 1,200 N/mm2 (over 38 HRC)
- Steel materials with a hardness over 54 HRC
- Steel, cast steel
- Steels up to 1,200 N/mmÅ’_ (< 38 HRC)
- Cast steel
