The Q-Bond QB3 is the large repair kit in the Q-Bond range: six 10 ml bottles of liquid cyanoacrylate adhesive, one grey powder and two black powders (manufacturer-stated). It is built for repairing breaks, cracks, holes and gaps in plastics and metals.
Used alone, the adhesive bonds most non-porous materials in seconds and dries clear. With a powder it builds a rigid, sandable repair: black powder is intended mainly for plastics, grey powder mainly for metal, and the cured repair can be drilled, ground, filed, sanded and painted. Q-Bond states a temperature range of -55 to 180 C with powder and -55 to 82 C for the adhesive alone (manufacturer-stated). Compared with the Q-Bond QB2 small repair kit you get three times the adhesive (six bottles against two) and an extra black powder.

How to use it
Clean and dry the surface, remove any paint, and roughen it with a file or sandpaper if you are using powder (manufacturer-stated). For a plain bond, apply the adhesive to one side, join the parts, press firmly and hold for 10 seconds (manufacturer-stated). With powder, sprinkle on the powder, saturate it with adhesive and build up in layers; for a gap, put tape underneath first, fill with powder, then add enough adhesive to penetrate (manufacturer-stated). Wipe the nozzle clean after use, replace the red pin and store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
Choose the QB3 if you repair plastics often: it has six adhesive bottles and two black powders, and black powder is the one intended mainly for plastics. For a single repair the Q-Bond QB2 small repair kit is enough, and for a bond that needs no powder see the single-bottle Q-Bond QB4 10 ml adhesive. Q-Bond does not bond polypropylene, polyethylene or stainless steel (manufacturer-stated).
