Saber 8031-M1 Hex Shank Step Drill, 4 - 12mm

The Saber Metric Spiral Flute Hex Shank HSS Step Drill is a step drill for drilling repeated holes in thin material. Its step drills are ideal for electrical contractors, sheetmetal workers and auto mechanics. They drill repeated holes in steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminium, plastic, plexiglas, laminates and many other thin materials. A step drill has a series of steps, each one a bigger hole size, so one bit drills many hole sizes. It needs no pilot hole.

This one has spiral flutes, which make it easier for the tool to penetrate, and a 1/4" hex shank for fast tool changing in impact drivers and quick change adaptors. It has a bright finish rather than a TiN coating. To choose, pick the range: 4 - 12mm in 1mm steps, or 4 - 20mm and 4 - 30mm in 2mm steps.
