M4.2 (8G) x 32 mm Security Torx Self-Drilling Screw, 304 Stainless - YCDXA2M42X32
Available
Made in 304 (A2) stainless steel, the Security Countersunk Torx Self-Drilling Screw is a Torx security screw with a Torx recess that includes a centre pin, so it needs a matching security Torx bit to drive it. It has a drill point that drills its own hole in light steel..
This listing has 4 variants covering sizes M4.2 (8G) to M4.8 (10G) and lengths 32 mm to 38 mm. Every size comes in packs of 100.
A2 (304) stainless steel is the common general-purpose austenitic grade. It resists corrosion well indoors, in fresh water and in most general outdoor conditions, but it is not recommended where chlorides are present, such as coastal, pool and marine settings. Choose A4 (316) there. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread. Gauge sizes are shown as a number followed by G. On this range 6G is 3.5 mm, 8G is 4.2 mm, 10G is 4.8 mm, 12G is 5.5 mm and 14G is 6.3 mm, as listed by the supplier.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.

Selecting the right option
A security screw only deters casual tampering. A matching security Torx bit is needed to fit or remove it. Check the variant for the bit size. The drilling capacity is not stated in the supplier data, so check it against the material thickness.
