Choose cylindrical bore for direct shaft mounting with standard tolerances; tapered bore for use with adapter sleeves, particularly on solid shafting where disassembly must be straightforward. C3 clearance variants suit higher-temperature or tight-fit applications. Self-aligning bearings are not designed for high axial load — select angular contact or thrust bearings where axial load dominates.
