Sutton 10mm D617 SDS Plus Masonry Stop Drill - TCT - Suits M8 x 30 Anchor

The Sutton D617 is an SDS Plus masonry stop drill with a tungsten carbide tip (TCT) and an integrated depth stop. It is for drop-in anchors, where the depth stop controls the drilling depth so each hole is the right depth for the anchor. This range has 4 sizes, 8, 10, 12 and 15 mm, to suit M6 x 25, M8 x 30, M10 x 40 and M12 x 50 anchors.

The 135° self-centring tip has three cutting edges, designed to drill a round hole, and it will drill through reinforced concrete mesh. The progressive flute combines a half-round spiral that accelerates dust extraction away from the tip with a square spiral that has a compression channel and a depression chamber for controlled dust removal. The SDS Plus shank suits most SDS Plus rotary hammer drills. The sand-blasted finish is an environmentally friendly production method with zero heavy metals.

Drilling notes

• Use in an SDS Plus rotary hammer drill with the hammer action on.
• Drill until the integrated depth stop reaches the surface, then clear the dust from the hole before setting the anchor.
• Choose the drill diameter that matches the anchor size shown in the table.
