Sutton 6mm x 110mm D631 SDS Plus Masonry Drill Bit - 4 Cut - TCT

The Sutton D631 is a 4-cut SDS Plus masonry drill bit with a tungsten carbide tip (TCT), 110 mm overall length with a 50 mm flute length. This range has 2 sizes: 6 and 8 mm. It is for reinforced concrete, brick, aerated concrete, stone and granite.

The unique TCT head has four thin external tips, designed for less friction. The combination spiral flute pairs a half-round spiral, which accelerates dust extraction away from the tip, with a square spiral that combines a compression channel with a depression chamber for controlled dust removal. The SDS Plus shank suits all SDS Plus rotary hammer drills. The sand-blasted finish is an environmentally friendly production method with zero heavy metals.

Drilling notes

• Use in an SDS Plus rotary hammer drill with the hammer action on (rotation plus percussion).
• Apply steady, moderate pressure and let the hammer do the work; extra force does not speed up the cut.
• Choose a length so the hole depth sits within the flute length. For deeper holes step up to a longer series.
• Withdraw the bit from time to time in deep holes to help clear dust, and clear the dust from the hole before fitting an anchor.
• Match the drill diameter to the hole size the anchor or fixing manufacturer specifies.
