Sutton M305M060 12 Piece Needle File Set 160mm - Swiss Made

The Sutton M305M060 (M305 M060) is a 12 piece set of 160 mm Swiss made needle files in a plastic wallet. The set contains one each of the pillar, half round, crossing, knife edge, warding, three square, square, oval, round, barrette, crochet and pillar (round edges) files.

Needle files are small precision files for fine finishing, deburring and shaping in tight spaces. These are made from high carbon steel with a smooth cut that is designed to leave a fine surface finish, and each file has an integrated round handle. The plastic wallet keeps the files together and protects the teeth in storage.

Choosing and using a needle file

• Choose the profile that matches the shape you are filing: flat, curved, internal corner or slot.
• File on the forward stroke with light, even pressure and lift the file on the return stroke.
• Clamp the work firmly and clear the file teeth with a file card as they fill.
• Store needle files dry and separated from other tools to protect the teeth.
