Choosing a file or chisel
For files, choose the profile for the job and then the length and cut: rough for fast removal and smooth for finishing. Needle files suit fine work, and diamond files suit hard materials. For chisels, match the chisel to the job: cold chisels for metal, SDS Plus or SDS Max chisels for masonry, and air chisel bits for pneumatic chisels, where the shank must match your tool (round or hex). Check the SDS type before you order. Always check the data sheet for the intended material and fitting details.

What is the difference between SDS Plus and SDS Max chisels?
SDS Plus and SDS Max are two different chuck fittings, so the chisel must match your hammer. Both are listed, in flat, pointed, angled, toothed and chasing types. Check the fitting on each listing.
Do you have cold chisels?
Yes. Sutton, Stahlwille and Sterling cold chisels and chisel sets are listed, including a Sterling 3 piece set (10, 13 and 16mm) and a Sutton 5 piece set.
Do you have air chisel bits?
