Straight flutes suit through or blind holes, but they hold only a small amount of chips and do not transport them axially, so deep holes are best avoided except in short chipping materials. The GG designation is for cast iron, with straight flutes and a low rake angle. The chamfer is Form C (2.5 x P), generally for blind holes.
The thread tolerance is 2BX. The tap is built to DIN 2184-1.
