The Sutton T666 is a spiral point (gun) tap (H designation) for UNC threads, made from powder metallurgy, 8% cobalt high speed steel (PM-HSS Co) with a TiCN coating. This listing covers 7 sizes from 1/4 x 20 TPI to 3/4 x 10 TPI.

The gun (spiral point) nose curls the chip forward, ahead of the tap and out of the hole, so chip clogging is avoided and coolant can flow without problems. It suits through holes. The H designation is for hard materials that form short chips, with a low rake angle and low thread relief. The chamfer is Form C (3 x P), generally for blind holes.

The thread tolerance is 2BX. The tap is built to DIN 2184-1.
