Tecmen iMUX TM16 PAPR Welding Helmet - 703200 | 703200

The Tecmen Freflow iMUX TM16 combines an auto-darkening welding helmet with a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR), so one unit protects the welder from arc radiation, spatter, dust, fine particles and other contaminants. The high resolution lens gives a clear view and is designed to reduce eye fatigue during long welding shifts.

The Freflow system senses how blocked the filter is and adjusts power and airflow automatically. The multi-layer particle filter has an efficiency of up to 99.97% (manufacturer-stated). The helmet has a 97 x 62 mm viewing area, optical class 1/1/1/1 (manufacturer-stated), a dual shade range of 5-8 and 9-13, four sensors and an external grind mode switch.

Selecting the right option

A powered air-purifying respirator only protects while the battery is charged, the filter is in good condition and the airflow is running. The P3 filter captures particles, so if gases or vapours are present you need the right gas filter, and it must not be used in oxygen-deficient atmospheres. Select, fit and maintain it under your site's respiratory protection program, and contact AIMS if you are unsure what suits your work.
