Common specifications

Key specifications

Weights, face diameters and lengths are per the Thor Product Brochure 2022 (p9). The 2017 range lists higher weights for TH953W, TH954W and TH957W (for example 970 g for TH954W), so the figures here are the newer ones.

Selecting the right option

The four sizes step up in face diameter (54, 64, 74, 90 mm), weight and length: TH952W is the lightest at 375 g and 320 mm long, TH957W the heaviest at 1350 g and 380 mm long. The fibreglass-handle versions are heavier at the same face size, so check the weight column when comparing the two handle types. Any striking tool carries some risk, so take care to prevent injury to yourself and damage to the work.
