The Mitutoyo 395-371-30 is a Digimatic tube micrometer for measuring curved surfaces such as the wall thickness of tubes, bearings and rings. Both the anvil and the spindle have rounded (spherical) faces. Quality control teams, toolrooms and machinists use it where a digital reading and data output are wanted.
It measures 0-1" with a digital step of .00005" or 0.001mm and a maximum permissible error of ±.0001". Resolution is the smallest step the display shows. It is not the same as accuracy, which is the biggest error Mitutoyo allows. SPC output lets the micrometer send readings to a computer or data system through an optional cable. The series has IP65 water and dust protection.
