Mitutoyo 160-151 Nib Style Vernier Caliper, 450mm

The Mitutoyo Series 160 is a large vernier caliper with nib style jaws and a fine adjustment carriage. The jaws have round measuring faces for accurate inside diameter measurement, and the fine adjustment feeds the slider in small steps. It suits toolrooms, fabrication shops and inspectors who measure larger parts by hand.

There are three sizes: 450mm/18", 600mm/24" and 1000mm/40". All three read to 0.02mm on the metric scale and .001" on the inch scale. Accuracy is ±0.05mm on the 450mm and 600mm sizes and ±0.07mm on the 1000mm size. Graduation is the smallest step on the scale. Accuracy is how close a reading is to the true size. They are different numbers, so check both. The inside measuring range starts from 20.1mm. These are long calipers and their mass from 1,200 g to 3,500 g.
