Anglomoil Industrial Greases — Calcium Sulphonate, Lithium Complex, EP, Wire Rope & Molytak

Not all grease thickeners perform equally under the conditions encountered in Australian mining, minerals processing, and heavy manufacturing.

The conventional lithium soap greases that dominate general industrial use offer acceptable performance in moderate-load, moderate-temperature bearing applications — but when contact loads increase sharply, when temperatures rise into ranges where lithium soap softens and bleeds, when the operating environment introduces water or chemical contamination, or when the machinery simply cannot tolerate frequent regreasing intervals, conventional lithium grease is routinely the point of failure.

Anglomoil has built its industrial grease range around thickener and additive systems chosen specifically to overcome these limitations in demanding Australian operating environments.

Where lithium complex chemistry is the preferred base — as in many sealed bearing applications, centralised lubrication systems, and multi-point auto-lube programs — Anglomoil's Angloplex range provides a premium formulation. Lithium complex thickeners offer better high-temperature stability than simple lithium soaps, with a higher dropping point that extends the usable temperature range. The NLGI 000 grade Angloplex is a semi-fluid grease optimised for centralised lubrication systems — pumping reliably through fittings, lines, and metering valves across the temperature range encountered in Australian processing plant environments.

The NLGI 2 grade suits individual bearing regreasing and packed bearing applications.

Anglomoil's EP grease range using lithium hydroxy thickeners covers the NLGI 00, 0, and 2 consistencies — addressing gearbox splash lubrication, open bearing packing, and conventional bearing greasing respectively.

Molytak, the molybdenum disulphide-enriched grease, provides a solid lubricant backup for slow-speed, high-load, and oscillating contact applications where hydrodynamic oil film formation is impossible. Wire rope lubricant grease at NLGI 0 penetrates rope interstices to protect internal strands from fretting wear and corrosion. Copper grease at NLGI 1.5 — containing graphite as a supplementary solid lubricant — rounds out the range as a high-temperature anti-seize compound for threaded and sliding contact surfaces operating in heat, corrosion, or chemical exposure.

Anglomoil Calcium Sulphonate & Impactor Greases

• Anglomoil Impactor Grease NLGI No. 2 — Calcium Sulphonate: Anglomoil Impactor Grease NLGI No. 2 is a calcium sulphonate complex grease specifically formulated for the extreme shock loading, water exposure, and extended regreasing intervals demanded by impactor bearings in rock crushers, jaw breakers, and similar mining and quarrying equipment.
• The calcium sulphonate thickener system provides exceptional water resistance — the grease does not wash out or emulsify under high water influx — and delivers inherent extreme pressure performance without reliance on sulphur-phosphorus EP additives.
• The NLGI 2 consistency allows hand gun and auto-lube pump application. Designed for Australian mining conditions where conventional greases fail prematurely in crusher bearing applications.

• Anglomoil Inplex 2163/220 Grease NLGI No. 3 — Calcium Sulphonate: Anglomoil Inplex 2163/220 NLGI No. 3 is a stiffer calcium sulphonate complex grease suited to applications requiring a firmer consistency for retention on vertical surfaces, in large-clearance bearings, and in applications where the operating temperature or centrifugal forces might cause a softer grade to migrate from the contact zone.
• The calcium sulphonate thickener provides the same outstanding water resistance and inherent EP performance as the NLGI 2 grade. Suited to large slow-speed bearings in mining, paper mill, and heavy processing plant where the combination of water exposure, high load, and infrequent manual regreasing makes calcium sulphonate chemistry the preferred thickener system.

• Anglomoil Inplex 2163/220 Grease NLGI No. 3 — Calcium Sulphonate (Alternative Pack): This alternative pack format of the Anglomoil Inplex 2163/220 NLGI No. 3 Calcium Sulphonate Grease provides the same high-performance calcium sulphonate complex formulation in a container size suited to different consumption volumes or dispensing equipment configurations.
• The calcium sulphonate thickener system delivers exceptional water washout resistance, shock load capacity, and inherent extreme pressure performance across the demanding bearing environments encountered in Australian mining, quarrying, and processing plant.
• Suitable for centralised lube systems, bulk drum dispensing, and volume grease programs where the alternative container format better suits the site's dispensing infrastructure.

• Anglomoil Angloplex Grease NLGI No. 000 — Lithium Complex: Anglomoil Angloplex NLGI 000 is a semi-fluid lithium complex grease designed for centralised automatic lubrication systems — Lincoln, Bijur, SKF, and equivalent multi-point lube installations — where the grease must pump reliably through lines, fittings, and metering valves at ambient operating temperatures.
• The NLGI 000 consistency is considerably softer than conventional bearing greases, enabling the low-pressure flow required for automatic lube system reliability. Lithium complex thickener provides better high-temperature stability than simple lithium soaps, improving pump consistency and bearing protection across the ambient temperature range of Australian process plant environments.
• Suitable for conveyor, crusher, and general rotating equipment auto-lube programs.

• Anglomoil Angloplex Grease NLGI No. 2 — Lithium Complex: Anglomoil Angloplex NLGI 2 is a premium lithium complex bearing grease for individual bearing regreasing and packed bearing applications requiring better high-temperature stability than standard lithium soap grades can provide.
• The NLGI 2 consistency suits grease gun application and auto-lube systems designed for this grade.
• Lithium complex thickener increases the dropping point compared to simple lithium grease, extending the operating temperature range and reducing the risk of grease softening and migration from the bearing cavity at elevated ambient temperatures.

• Anglomoil EP Grease NLGI No. 00 — Lithium Hydroxy: Anglomoil EP Grease NLGI 00 is a semi-fluid extreme pressure grease suited to enclosed gearbox splash lubrication, gear coupling filling, and large bearing housing applications where a pumpable but cohesive lubricant is required.
• The lithium hydroxy thickener at NLGI 00 consistency provides a lubricant that flows under churning action but does not separate or migrate excessively from the lubrication zone.
• The sulphur-phosphorus EP additive system provides film strength under the high gear tooth contact stresses encountered in industrial gearboxes.
