Choosing a brass fitting

Match the fitting to the tube or hose and the thread. Olives are sold for copper tube and for nylon tube separately, so choose the one for your tube. For a one-off repair an individual fitting is the quickest option, while an assortment kit is better for a workshop or service vehicle that needs a range on hand. Check the pressure, temperature and fluid on the data sheet before use. Always check the data sheet.

Brass Fitting FAQs

What is the difference between the copper and nylon tube olives?

They are sold as separate parts for the tube material. The Champion C1412-11 olive suits 6 mm copper tube and the C1412-12 suits 6 mm nylon tube, and the refills are listed the same way. Choose the olive that matches your tube.

Should I buy a kit or individual fittings?

Buy individual fittings when you need one or two for a job. A kit gives you a range on hand, for example the CA132 for fuel and brake line or the CA2070 for hose fittings. Each listing shows the piece count.

What do I need to check before using brass fittings?

Check that the thread, size, pressure rating and the fluid or gas suit the fitting. The data sheet has the ratings, or call us on (02) 9773 0122 and we will help.
