Our hooks range covers both safety-rated rigging hooks and utility/restraint hooks from Austlift, Beaver, and Magswitch — for lifting, scaffolding, tie-down, and workholding applications.

• Austlift Scaffold Hooks (Gate Opening 60mm, Aluminium): Austlift scaffold hooks with 60mm gate opening in aluminium are designed for scaffolding lifter boards and scaffold tie applications — the hook gate opening allows connection to scaffold tube without disconnecting the sling from the hook. Critical safety component in scaffolding systems.
• Austlift Alloy Steel Snap Hooks (Gate Opening 20mm): Austlift snap hooks with 20mm gate opening for fall arrest lanyards, height safety systems, and lifting sling connections. Alloy steel construction with safety gate prevents inadvertent hook disengagement during use.
• Stainless Steel S Hooks & Asymmetric Snap Hooks: 304 stainless steel symmetric S hooks and 316 stainless steel asymmetric snap hooks for marine, food processing, and outdoor rigging where carbon steel hooks would corrode. Asymmetric snap hooks prevent the hook from being twisted off the anchor point in multi-directional loading.
• Magswitch Mag-Utility Hook: The Magswitch Mag-Utility Hook (25lb max breakaway, 8100012) is a switchable magnetic hook for attaching tools, cables, and accessories to steel surfaces without drilling or fasteners. The on/off magnetic action provides instant attachment and clean release without residual magnetism.
• Beaver Winch Hooks & Tie-Down Hooks: Beaver 1.5T galvanised winch hooks and Austlift tie-down flat hooks (single type, 50mm × 2200kg LC) for vehicle recovery, trailer tie-down, and load restraint applications rated to relevant ADR and NZS load restraint standards.
• Austlift Stainless Steel Snap Hooks with Eyelet (DIN 5299): Austlift DIN 5299 stainless steel snap hooks with eyelet are precision-manufactured to DIN 5299 dimensional standard for applications requiring close-tolerance snap hook dimensions such as carabiner replacement in machinery guarding and height safety systems.

Hook Selection and Safety

• Load-Rated vs Utility Hooks: Load-rated lifting hooks (scaffold hooks, snap hooks with WLL markings) are safety-critical components required to meet Australian Standards. Utility hooks (S hooks, magnetic hooks) are not rated for overhead lifting — never use utility hooks in load-bearing rigging configurations.
• Gate Locking: Safety snap hooks must have the gate in the locked position during use — an unlatched gate reduces the hook’s WLL to near zero and creates a risk of accidental release under load vibration.
