Oil Equipment

Oil equipment is the umbrella category for the pumps, dispensers, reels, meters, oilers, and reservoirs that workshops use to handle lubricating oil — from the drum it arrives in to the engine, gearbox, or hydraulic reservoir it ends up in. Common workshop setups

Most workshops settle into one of three patterns. Drum-and-pump: a pneumatic or electric pump fits to the drum bung, dispenses through a hose reel to a hand gun. Bulk-tank: a larger fixed tank feeds multiple dispense points around the workshop. Mobile: a drum on a wheeled trolley with pump and hose, brought to the work rather than the work to the pump.

Selection guidance

Oil viscosity, flow rate, and dispensed volume per service drive the spec. A workshop changing engine oil on cars does fine with a 1:1 air pump and a 6-metre hose reel; a fleet workshop servicing trucks needs a higher-pressure pump (3:1 or 5:1) and longer hose runs to reach across larger bays. Match the equipment to the work, not the other way around.

Service items

Pumps and meters wear over years of service. Seal kits, replacement nozzles, and hose assemblies are stocked alongside the equipment so the workshop's setup can be kept in service rather than replaced wholesale when one component fails.
