Rust Treatment Products

• Rust Converters: Rust converters chemically react with iron oxide (rust) to convert it into a stable phosphate compound, stopping active corrosion and creating a primer-receptive surface. Galmet and CRC supply brush-on and spray rust converters for structural steel, equipment and vehicles.
• Cold Galvanising Compounds: Galmet cold galvanising compounds contain high-zinc content to provide cathodic corrosion protection to bare steel — similar to hot-dip galvanising but applied by brush, roller or spray. Used for touch-up of galvanised steel, field repairs and new steel protection in marine, agricultural and industrial environments.
• Zinc-Rich Primers and Undercoats: Zinc-rich undercoats applied over cleaned or rust-converted steel provide a high-build corrosion barrier and a sound base for topcoat paint systems. Available in aerosol for site repairs and bulk for workshop application.
• Rust Inhibitors: Rust inhibitors penetrate metal surfaces and displace moisture to prevent new rust formation. CorrosionX and CRC supply rust inhibitor sprays and fluids for protecting tools, equipment, stored metal parts and machinery from corrosion during storage and service.
• Biodegradable Rust Treatments: Triple7 supplies biodegradable rust treatment and inhibitor products for environments where conventional solvent-based corrosion products are restricted.
• Pacer and Dy-Mark: Pacer and Dy-Mark supply aerosol rust treatments and undercoat products for workshop, site and maintenance use.
