Choosing an anti-slip product
Match the product to the place. Stair nosings go on the step edge, where most missteps happen, and the colour gives people something to see as well as something to grip. Ladder rung covers fit over existing rungs to improve grip. Safeplates cover larger surfaces such as landings and walkways, and tape and strips suit smaller or irregular areas. Check the variant dimensions against the step, rung or surface you are fitting.
Anti-slip products work best on a clean, dry, sound surface, and need replacing when they are worn or lifting.
