Choosing the right accessory
Start with your grinder's spindle thread and disc size. M14 x 2 is a common spindle thread on angle grinders, and smaller grinders can use M10 threads, so check your grinder before you order flanges or adaptors. The Bordo set lets you adapt between those thread sizes. Pferd Combidisc adaptors fit Combidisc quick-change discs to your grinder, and they come in one size for 4 inch grinders and one for 4-1/2 and 5 inch grinders.
Worn, bent or cracked flanges can stop a disc running true, so replace them rather than reusing them. Always fit the guard and use discs rated for your grinder's speed.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the thread, diameter and compatibility with your grinder and discs before ordering.

Angle grinder accessories FAQs
What thread do angle grinders use?
M14 x 2 is a common spindle thread, and some smaller grinders use M10 threads. Check your grinder's spindle thread before ordering.
What does the Bordo thread adaptor do?
It adapts M10 x 1.25 and M10 x 1.5 threads to M14 x 2, so you can fit accessories with a different thread to your grinder. Check the data sheet for which way it adapts.
What is a Combidisc adaptor?
It mounts Pferd Combidisc quick-change discs on an angle grinder. We list one for 4 inch grinders and one for 4-1/2 and 5 inch grinders.
Do I need a pin spanner?
Standard lock nuts need a pin spanner or the spanner that came with your grinder to tighten and loosen them. We list an adjustable pin spanner that suits a range of grinders.
When should I replace flanges?
Replace them when they are worn, bent, cracked or no longer hold the disc flat and true.
