Choosing a DTI washer
Match the washer to the bolt it goes under: the property class (8.8 or 10.9 metric, or Grade 5 imperial), the thread size, and the finish. Mechanical galvanised suits outdoor and corrosion-exposed connections, and plain / black suits indoor or painted work. The washer needs to suit the bolt and the specification for the connection, so check your project or engineering requirements before ordering.
DTI washers are installed and inspected following the manufacturer's instructions and the requirements for your structure. If you are not sure which washer your specification calls for, ask your engineer or call us.
