Choosing a Carbitool saw blade
Start with the material: timber, aluminium, metal, laminate or fibre cement. Then match the blade to the saw by diameter and bore, and never fit a blade larger than the saw is rated for. Tooth count sets the cut. Fewer teeth cut faster and suit ripping timber, while more teeth cut slower and leave a cleaner edge for crosscuts, mitres, laminate and aluminium. Thin kerf blades remove less material and put less load on the saw, while standard kerf blades give a stiffer plate. Always check the data sheet for the diameter, bore, tooth count, kerf and maximum speed before you order.

Carbitool FAQs
What Carbitool products does AIMS Industrial list?
Circular saw blades in standard kerf, ultra thin kerf, professional standard kerf, aluminium cutting, metal cutting, laminate cutting, mitre saw, split scoring and fibre cement types, from 120 to 355 mm.
Is Carbitool part of Sutton Tools?
Yes. Carbitool was founded in Victoria in 1974 and joined the Sutton Tools group in 2018.
What is the difference between standard kerf and ultra thin kerf blades?
Ultra thin kerf blades cut a narrower slot, so they remove less material and put less load on the saw. Standard kerf blades have a thicker, stiffer plate. Check the product page for the kerf and plate thickness.
Do you list Carbitool scoring blades?
Yes. 120 mm 12T + 12T split scoring blades are listed in 20 mm and 22 mm bore. Check the bore and diameter against your panel saw's scoring unit before you order.
Which blade do I need for aluminium?
Use a Carbitool aluminium cutting blade, listed from 160 to 305 mm. Match the diameter and bore to your saw, and check the product page for the tooth count.
