Choosing a bearing
Self aligning bearings tolerate some misalignment between the shaft and housing. Angular contact bearings are used where the load acts at an angle to the shaft. A 2RS bearing has rubber seals on both sides, and a ZZ bearing has metal shields. Match the bore and outside diameter to your shaft and housing, and pick the seal to suit the environment.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the dimensions, load rating and internal clearance before you order.
