Choosing a Schnorr washer
Start with what the washer has to do. The Type S and Type VS serrated safety washers are sized by bolt size (M). The disc spring and K-spring washers are listed by dimensions, so measure the shaft or bolt and the housing before you order. The HS load washers are sized by bolt size, in a choice of zinc plated, plain / black or Geomet coated finishes.
Finish matters too. Zinc plated suits general indoor use, and the plain / black versions are supplied without a plating. Where a joint sees moisture or chemicals, ask us about the finish before you order.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the size, load and finish for your application before you order, particularly for vibration critical or structural joints.
