Tensabarrier makes retractable belt barrier systems, and AIMS Industrial supplies the range we carry: post systems with retractable webbing, heavy duty posts, outdoor stanchion systems and wall mounted receiver clips. They are a quick way to mark a walkway, queue or restricted area and to move people through a space. They are a visual guide rather than a physical barrier.

Choosing a belt barrier
Start with where it will be used. Indoor queues and walkways suit the standard post systems, while the heavy duty and outdoor stanchion systems are the ones listed for tougher or outdoor use. Then choose the belt length for the gap you need to span, and the webbing colour for the message: black and yellow for general hazard marking, red and white for a stronger stop message. Use extra posts or a wall receiver clip to join runs or finish a line at a wall.
A belt barrier tells people where to go. It does not stop someone who wants to get through. If a hazard needs genuine separation, use fencing, hard barriers or a permanent solution, and use a belt barrier as part of the wider controls on your site.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm belt length, post type and indoor or outdoor suitability for the version you order.

Tensabarrier FAQs
Is a Tensabarrier a physical barrier?
No. A retractable belt barrier is a visual guide that marks a path or restricted area. It will not stop someone who chooses to cross it. Use fencing or hard barriers where you need real separation.
