Selecting the right option

Confirm the pilot pin diameter (commonly 7.98 mm) matches the annular cutter you are using — mismatched pilot pins can jam or produce off-centre holes. Use cutting fluid continuously throughout the cut; magnetic drills should be firmly attached to a flat magnetic surface. Annular cutters cannot be used in portable electric drills — they require a mag drill or drill press with the correct arbor.
