A galvanised malleable iron backnut that backnut for locking a threaded fitting onto a pipe end. Hot-dipped galvanised finish gives tough, threadable malleable iron with outdoor corrosion protection. Threads are cut to AS 1722.1 / BS 21 (BSP taper), the standard Australian pipe thread. As a malleable iron fitting (category-derived) in the AAP range, it pairs cleanly with the rest of the galvanised steel pipe fitting line.
