This AAP blind plate flange is made from carbon steel plate to AS2129 Table D (manufacturer-stated). It is supplied in 11 sizes from 4 in (100 mm) to 24 in (600 mm).
A blind flange has no centre bore. It closes off the end of a pipe run, a valve port or a vessel nozzle, and can be unbolted when you need access for inspection, cleaning or pressure testing. AAP describes plate flanges as mainly used for light duty, lower pressure or non-critical applications. They are cut and machined from plate steel.
AAP's temperature-pressure table for carbon steel flanges rates Table D at 700 kPa (7 bar) from -50 to 232 °C, stepping down as temperature rises above 232 °C, with a maximum hydrostatic test pressure of 1,050 kPa.
