AAP Stainless Steel Camlock Type A, 1/2"

This AAP stainless steel camlock adaptor is a Type A: a male camlock end and a female BSP thread. It is supplied in 10 sizes from 1/2" (15mm) to 6" (150mm). Camlocks, also known as cam and groove fittings, give a quick connection and disconnection of hose and piping. The male camlock end locks onto a female camlock end of the same size, and the female BSP thread screws onto a male threaded pipe, nipple or outlet.

It is sand-cast 316 stainless steel, fully weldable, for the food industry, offshore and chemical work. The camlocks are made to interchange with products made to Mil Spec A-A 59326. The 1/2" (15mm) size is outside that specification and is made to AAP's own specification only. The threads are cut to ISO 228.

Choosing the right option

Choose the size to match the hose or pipe thread you are connecting, and pair it with a female camlock of the same size (Types B, C or D). Check the mating thread is BSP, because these threads are cut to ISO 228. It suits water, oil, powders and some hydrocarbons and chemicals, so check chemical compatibility before use. Spare parts for these camlocks: brass handles (code CBH), handle pins (code CP) and NBR gaskets (code CGN).
