JAF 5207ZZ Shielded Angular Contact Ball Bearing 35 x 72 x 27 mm

This JAF range covers 9 double row angular contact ball bearings with two metal shields (ZZ): the 5306ZZ, 5207ZZ, 5307ZZ, 5208ZZ, 5308ZZ, 5209ZZ, 5309ZZ, 5210ZZ and 5211ZZ, from 30 to 55 mm bore and 72 to 100 mm outer diameter. Angular contact bearings are built to carry radial load and axial load together. This double row type carries axial load in both directions from a single bearing, which saves space over a pair of single row bearings. The two metal shields (ZZ) keep larger particles out without adding seal friction.

Metal shields (ZZ) keep larger particles out without touching the inner ring, so friction stays low. A shield is not a seal: fine dust and moisture can still enter, so choose a sealed bearing where dust, splashes or damp are present. Limiting speed and load ratings are not listed for the ZZ sizes, so check the duty with AIMS before ordering.

Load ratings are not listed for the ZZ sizes, so confirm the duty with AIMS before ordering. A double row angular contact bearing carries axial load in both directions, but heavy or one-sided thrust should be checked first.

Press on the ring that is being fitted, not the other ring or the balls: force goes through the side face of the inner ring on a shaft and through the outer ring in a housing.

Keep shielded bearings in their packaging until mounting and do not wash them.
