Beaver Grade 80 component connectors (couplers) suit 6 mm to 32 mm Grade 80 chain, with working load limits (WLL) of 1,100 kg (1.1 t) to 31,500 kg (31.5 t). Beaver states each connector is two symmetrical die-forged halves joined by a heavy duty stud and pin, so it can be separated when needed, and that it is a conventional style chain connector.
Beaver states that its Grade 80 lifting components are made from heat treated alloy steel, are tested throughout manufacture, and meet AS 3776, Lifting Components for Grade T Chain Slings. They carry distinguishing marks, including the brand, grade and size and a date of manufacture and batch ID.

Selecting the right option
Choose the size by the WLL and the chain size it must match, and make sure every part of the assembly (chain, link, hook and lifting point) is Grade 80 and rated for the load. When replacing the pin and stud, use the Beaver kit listed in the table for that size. Lifting equipment must be used within its marked working load limit (WLL), inspected before each use, and selected and used in line with your site lifting procedure and the relevant Australian Standards.
