BECO BJ28X Angular Contact Spherical Plain Bearing, Open, 28 x 52 x 16 mm

BECO angular contact spherical plain bearings to DIN ISO 12240-2 carry combined radial and one-directional axial load while still letting the shaft sit out of square. The angled contact face takes thrust in one direction as well as the radial load. A hardened steel inner ring runs its spherical surface directly against a matching hardened steel outer ring, which gives this type very high static load capacity and tolerance of shock and alternating loads.

It is supplied open, for clean or regularly serviced positions. Steel on steel joints need periodic greasing, so plan it into the service schedule. This range has 17 sizes with bores from 25 to 100 mm.

Select by bore d first, then check the outside diameter D, ring width and sphere diameter dK in the table against the housing and the mating part.

Steel on steel suits shock and alternating loads and needs periodic greasing. Where the joint cannot be greased, choose a PTFE lined bearing.

Fitting and use

Press only on the ring being fitted, and never through the sliding surfaces of the joint.

Grease the bearing at the service interval for your duty, and keep the joint clean.
