The Black Rat 4WD cable puller, code 341002B, is a lightweight multi-purpose wire rope puller for off road recovery. Black Rat's data sheet says it has all steel construction with drop forged hooks that come complete with safety latches, that one hook has a built in sheave block for ease of recovery, and that it comes with 1.5 m of 5 mm galvanised wire rope and a 2 tonne pulling capacity (manufacturer-stated).

The data sheet gives a weight of 3.8 kg and a pack quantity of 4. It does not say whether the 2 tonne figure is a working load limit or a minimum breaking strain, and it does not describe how the puller is operated, so AIMS has not stated either. Ask AIMS to confirm before you order if the rating matters for your job.

Check that the pulling capacity suits the load and that your anchor point and attachments are rated for it.
