Lifting Equipment: Chain Connectors, Lever Blocks, Hooks, Plate Clamps and Rigging Hardware
Lifting equipment is safety-critical — every component in the lift system must be correctly rated, compatible, and in good condition. AIMS Industrial stocks 250+ lifting equipment products from Austlift, Beaver, and Toho, covering G80 and G100 chain connectors, swivel hooks with safety catches, lever blocks, industrial chain blocks, push trolleys, plate clamps, and shackles — all rated to Australian Standard AS 3775 and AS 4991 requirements.
The AIMS Lifting Equipment Range
Our lifting range is built around Austlift and Beaver — two of Australia's most trusted rigging and lifting hardware brands.
- Chain Connectors (G80 & G100): Austlift G80 chain connector and G100 alloy steel chain connectors join lengths of lifting chain and provide anchor points in multi-leg sling configurations. G100 provides higher WLL in the same compact form factor as G80 — useful when load requirements have increased beyond the original G80 specification.
- Swivel Hooks with Safety Catch: Austlift G80 swivel hook with ball bearing safety catch allows the hook to rotate freely under load without the hook gate opening — essential in dynamic lifting applications where load rotation would otherwise unload the safety catch and allow the hook to disengage.
- Lever Blocks: The Austlift AL-3 lever block provides mechanical advantage for positioning loads laterally, tensioning, and pulling applications where a straight vertical lift is not possible. Compact and portable for confined space and maintenance use.
- Plate Clamps: The Austlift universal plate clamp grips steel plate by the edge for vertical lifting and horizontal carrying — the correct tool for lifting cut plate, sheet steel, and structural sections without slings or through-holes.
- Push Trolleys: Austlift PT01 push trolleys mount on I-beam flanges to provide manual traverse of suspended loads — the standard solution for moving loads horizontally under a gantry or monorail without a motorised hoist system.
- Lifting Chain & Shackles: Beaver G80 alloy lifting chain (1.2T–2.6T) and a range of screw pin shackles provide the connecting hardware for custom-assembled lifting slings and anchor configurations. See our rigging and lifting slings range for web slings and round slings.
Lifting Equipment Compliance in Australia
- WLL and Proof Load: All lifting equipment must have a clearly marked Working Load Limit (WLL). The WLL assumes a correctly assembled, inspected, and undamaged component. Never exceed the WLL — dynamic loading, angular loading, and worn equipment all reduce effective capacity below the marked WLL.
- Regular Inspection is Mandatory: AS 2550 and AS 4991 require that all lifting equipment be inspected before each use and formally examined at defined intervals by a competent person. Cracked, deformed, or worn lifting components must be immediately removed from service and destroyed.
Australian Business, Local Supply: As a proudly Australian business since 1988, we stock locally and work with trusted local Australian manufacturers and distributors to ensure fast, reliable supply.
