Beam Clamps

Buy Beam Clamps Online in Australia

Beam clamps, also sold as girder clamps, attach to the flange of a steel beam so you can hang lifting gear without drilling or welding. AIMS Industrial supplies beam and girder clamps from Austlift, Challenger, Garrick Herbert and Beaver, in capacities from 1,000 to 10,000 kg.

What's in the range

Product What the range includes
Austlift girder clamp GC01 and Austlift girder clamp, black GC01 in five capacities (listed as 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10). Black clamp in two capacities (listed as 1 and 2).
Challenger girder beam clamp 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000 kg.
Garrick Herbert girder clamp 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 tonne.
Beaver YC industrial girder clamp 1,000 to 10,000 kg, with the beam flange width range listed for each size (for example 75 to 230 mm at 1,000 and 2,000 kg, and 90 to 320 mm at 5,000 and 10,000 kg).
Beaver YC trolley and girder clamp 2,000 kg, for 72 to 200 mm flanges.

Choosing a beam clamp

Start with the load, then check the beam. The clamp's rated capacity must be at or above the load you will hang from it, and the clamp has to fit the width of the beam flange. The beam itself must also be strong enough to carry the load, and that is a structural question for your engineer or the person responsible for the structure, not something the clamp can settle. A trolley clamp lets the load move along the beam, and a fixed girder clamp holds it in one position.

Use clamps with the lifting equipment they are designed for, inspect them before each use, and take any damaged or worn clamp out of service. Lifting work should be planned and carried out by competent people following the rules that apply to your site.

Always check the data sheet. Confirm the rated capacity, flange range and what the clamp is designed to be used with before ordering, and check the capacity units on each variant.

Beam clamp FAQs

What is the difference between a beam clamp and a girder clamp?

They are two names for the same type of clamp, which attaches to the flange of a steel beam. We list both names in this range.

What capacity do I need?

One at or above the load you will hang from it. Our range runs from 1,000 to 10,000 kg. Check that the beam can carry the load too, which is a question for your engineer.

How do I know it fits my beam?

Check the flange width range for the clamp against the width of your beam flange. The Beaver YC clamps list the flange range for each size, for example 72 to 200 mm on the trolley clamp.

What is a trolley clamp?

A clamp with a trolley that lets the load move along the beam. The Beaver YC trolley and girder clamp is rated at 2,000 kg for 72 to 200 mm flanges.

Do beam clamps need inspecting?

Yes. Inspect a clamp before each use and take any damaged or worn clamp out of service. Follow the inspection requirements that apply to your site.
